You and up to three of your friends are all that stand between the world and devastation in Pandemic, the Origin-award winning cooperative strategy game of medical drama! The Pandemic Board Game casts you in the shoes of a range of epidemiologists, medical specialists and first-responders as they struggle to contain and cure diseases and prevent a deadly pandemic from destroying human civilization.

A game of Pandemic begins with four new diseases being discovered around the globe. To win, players need to keep these pathogens in check by quarantining cities, treating patients and conducting research into effective cures. They'll have to move fast though: As more and more cities become inundated with the diseases, outbreaks - where infections move quickly from city to city in a deadly cascade - become more likely. If the diseases spread too quickly, the players will lose, they must make difficult decisions about whether to work towards cures or prevent the spread of the virus.

Players aren't left without hope, as canny use of their roles will lead them towards victory! At the beginning of the game, each player is handed a role card, each with their own special abilities. You can treat diseases more effectively as the medic, prevent dangerous outbreaks as the quarantine specialist or coordinate your fellow players as the dispatcher.

Pandemic is as replayable as it is challenging! Infection locations are randomised at the beginning of the game, and the spread of the diseases is decided on by ‘epidemic cards' that are hidden within the card deck. While strategic planning is important, the ability of you and your team to think on your feet (along with a pinch of good luck) is key to winning this game.

The Pandemic Board Game is one of only a handful of games to be completely cooperative - there's no time to compete when the world is on the line! There's no treasure to squabble over or elimination method to backstab your fellow players with. This makes Pandemic an ideal choice for playing with friends and family who react badly to betrayal!
