The Derma pen is an automated micro-needling device with a disposable tip cartridge that is made up of 12 micro-needles, which uses proprietary technology to penetrate vertically into the skin.

The stamping action of the Derma pen's vertical tip creates invisible micro-injuries to the skin while stimulating the skin's natural ability to heal itself and increase the production of new collagen.

In doing so, these micro-injuries encourage and harness the body's innate ability to regrow and repair the skin through normal physiological processes and the skin becomes rejuvenated and refreshed.

Long Story Short: Needs more heads included.... Though still a decent Dermapen unit. It's a funky unit with a rechargeable battery and a cabled end that can be switched out. What this means for me is I can charge up the batteries and use my unit cable free at the mirror and on days when my batteries need charging I have the option to use my Dermapen while it's plugged in too. The versatility is really awesome with this.The needles included are a nano style and then the traditional needle expected. You can adjust the depth and there's guidance on how deep to go based on the effect you're looking to achieve. Be aware that you'll need to thoroughly sanitise the heads before and after use to ensure you don't get or spread infections.I found the nano style head a bit painful especially on the nose. Areas with less cushion or generally more sensitive like the upper cheeks I felt more discomfort even at the lowest depths.
