However, I was also hoping to use it to display a written message and alert with an auditory alarm at set times for a senior (e.g., meals, an activity, or appointment).In order to do this, one must have an SD card, create the message and convert it to a graphic file. If one wishes to have an audible alarm, one must then find an .mp3 file, download it, then transfer it to the SD card and place it in the same file as one did with the .jpeg file. Name the file correctly - and then - and only then - will it display and play the alarm for 1 minute at a set time. Oh yes, one must use the buttons on the back of the frame to toggle through the menus.By the way, the documentation doesn't cover most of this.
