Strongly consider adventure sync. This is great for those of us without the ability to keep their smartphone in their pocket, however, if you're able to keep your smart phone with you all day, this isn't all that useful. If you're wanting to forgo the Pokemon go plus, enable Adventure Sync and set up your Google/apple/Samsung fitness app to sync the steps to your game. Niantic provides resources if you need help.So I've established that you can easily count steps on your phone without having to buy this but the Pokemon go plus offers one feature thats exclusive to the Pokemon go plus, PokeBall go plus, and unauthorized 3rd party devices (basically does the same thing but has some 'cheats' built in) is that you can interact with the game by pressing the button when prompted with vibrations and colored lights. Most importantly you can catch Pokemon with this feature. The Pokemon catching feature seems to work like kind of a coin flip. You either catch it or it instantly runs away. This fea

Simple and easy to use. Works great does what is says. And being able to change out barriers while I'm out is a plus for me. Now if I can just stop putting it down and forgetting where it is.

When it works its great but the price isnt worth the frustration. I bought this primarily to stack up on items and stardust as I live in the middle of a gym and 2 stop triangle but I don't always want to have my face in my phone and with the increased reach distance, I can hit them all pretty well. For that, it works great and a nice bonus is that it counts distance a bit better so I can get buddy candy and eggs a tad faster. The catching ratio isn't great but it isn't terrible either... you get one regular ball and no berries but it feels like pokemon you've caught A LOT have an easy chance.... a nice update would be the option to select a berry to auto use as well. This WILL NOT WORK on devices that don't have their own data to pinpoint GPS. If you are using shared wifi with a hotspot from another device it won't connect to the device using the wifi hotspot. The plus still has the same speed/distance issues when traveling but if you're too busy and can't look at your phone at least you

Brilliant. Brilliant, bought this ages ago but only just started using it. Means I catch an extra 3 pokemon a day without taking my hands out my pockets!

Useful for Pokemon Go. They work mostly as advertised. It can be set to buzz either when a Pokemon or pokestop are nearby, or both. For pokestops it'll still register one nearby as long as you're going under roughly 2mph and it recognizes being within range of a pokestop after the phone program does. For Pokemon, it registers a nearby Pokemon on the buzzer before the phone may even have it pop up.While catching Pokemon, you get one throw per Pokemon of a normal poke all and no other ball types. The catch rate seems dependent on the player using the plus as I don't have much luck on one, but am very successful on another. The feature I use this for most is when I am stationary on a pokestop. Each time the pokestop spinner cool down completes the plus buzzes automatically to indicate it can be spun again. In addition, while using the Pokemon go plus, it does not require the phone screen to be on, but it does require the app to be open. For example, my local gym where I work out is

Useful, but limited.. It's useful, but could be so much better. For the cost I expected a little more. The in-game menu settings are limited, basically you can turn off or on the ability to spin Pokestops or catch Pokémon.I primarily use it to spin Pokestops, it does detect and spin them faster than I generally can manually (since sometimes they can take some time to load and be spin-able.) It is still subject to the speed limit, however I have had a few times I've seen it work when I thought it wouldn't, most of the time it doesn't any more than manually trying would work if you are in a car. It's very useful if you are at a place near a stop (or multiple stops) for a while since it will detect as soon as those have refreshed to spin again. As a recent note, it does get quests for you from Pokestops like normal.Catching Pokémon seems to be of limited use unless you have a lot of basic Pokeballs and storage space to waste. You don't have much control of you success or what you're getti
